As the owner of a small boutique Brand studio and Creative Director of NEXEN Tire America’s reBrand, you’re probably wondering why I would be one of the first people to post on the site. Good question! Actually it’s because I wanted everyone to know about my experience working with NEXEN. I’ve worked for a lot of companies who talk about “strengthening their brand” but what this usually ONLY means is that they want to “strengthen their bottom line.” So let’s just say it was such a smack-in-the-face, refreshing change to work with a team that meant what they said and said what they meant. After dutifully quizzing them about their thoughts on strategies for positioning, corporate messaging and all the other things that go along with rebranding, they surprised me with a simple response. “We’re about kindness,” they said.

I understand that the bottom line is important to each of our Clients, but kindness? That’s it? How can tires be kind? “They can’t be but NEXEN can,” I thought. It hit me like a ton of bricks. They were right. Sure, it’s about the quality of rubber hitting the road but it’s more about people selling a product to other people. NEXEN stands behind their products, quite literally. There’s a huge raft of NEXEN employees, from the warehouse to the factory to the executive offices, who actually care about their customers and care enough to put “kindness” as their top priority. If you think about, it’s simple really. Customers come first. We hope that that philosophy is reflected in this website. We’ve made it simple & immediate to that you get the information you want up front. When you decide on NEXEN tires, you’ll be judge and jury, just like any other NEXEN customer. Let them know, heck, let everyone know if what you experienced was simple, different and well…kind.
